Well, I'm back in London. I can't believe it's already been two weeks. It feels like I've never left. I've been spending the past while playing catchup with friends and working since the day after I got back. Everything is unpacked and I'm busy from the moment I get up to the time my head hits the pillow- and I'm loving it.

I'm now a participating member of the London Ontario Fire Conclave. I spin fire now, an absolute adrenaline rush by far. I also participate with my photography skills as well. I'm amazed by my progression over just under a year. When I had left the conclave in August, I had no skills whatsoever as far as poi goes. And now I'm actually teaching people. I'm trying to learn new moves every week or two. But it's pretty slow going.

I've also purchased my own fire set as well. The poi heads themselves have already arrived, but due to complications with the remainder of the set, I should be getting the chains by months end. This will allow me significantly more freedom as far as fire spinning goes, as I've been relying on borrowing other peoples sets so far.

The summer is being set aside to explore my own reality, conquer my demons, pick up new ones, and just make the most out of every moment. Last summer I learned the lesson that some things are just worth losing sleep over. So last Sunday I went to the Nightwish Concert. It was a pretty good performance, I really enjoyed the opener band. Especially the Bassist. Man she was hot. I got to hang out with some great friends, and I overall had a wonderful time.

My poi practice is also something that I sacrifice sleep for, well, sort of. I sleep after work (well, after I'm done writing this actually) then wake up in time to head off to Victoria Park. It's every Thursday night between 9-10. The crowd is an amazing one, so many great people show up and it's an absolutely welcoming environment. Not bad for a bunch of hippies playing with fire. Poi has definitely consumed me lately. And I couldn't be happier.

I'm also going to be going to Anime North this year. I've been working on my mask for over a month, and it's almost done being fabricated. This weekend I'm going to do some heavy work on it and hopefully get it done. I was really hoping that I could get other parts of the costume done before then, but my schedule is so full with everything else that it's difficult to do so. Although I plan to spend my entire last semester at NSCAD next winter working on fursuits. I can't wait. It'll be damned expensive but I'm sure I can pull it off.

I've already got a few ideas onto what I'll be making- all characters from my story. So the definitess will be Talon, Bonhomie, (I'm currently working on a Deva for the Convention, so that's out of the way), possibly a dragon, maybe Tusk, and a few others. It's a very tedious and pain staking project outline, but I'm sure I can pull it off. I also want to start going to fur conventions soon, within the next year or two. So I definitely want some articles for that.

My time is definitely busy, I'm thankful to be in the company of such good friends here. As well as the fact that I'll be traversing the country this next year. I'm not sure where I'm going to end up next summer. Part of me really wants to spend a full year in Nova Scotia. The other part knows I've got a great job set up here if I so want it, so either could go at this point. We'll see what happens when the time comes.

There's a lot more happening in my life right now. But I'll try saving that for another journal. And I really gotta start responding the kindness of others on this site as well, my message center has been getting larger and larger and I gotta start thanking those who gave me favourites and watches and the like. There's also a lot of art that I've gotta start working on. My inspiration is kicking into overdrive lately. Here's to the hope I've got the time to do it all.
