This summer I went out west with my Father. First week in, we went camping up in the area of Northern Vancouver Island. This specific image relates to a kayaking trip we ventured on during our trip-
My father and I had three main goals in mind for this trip. We would enter a specific cove, and use the directions set out by one of his friends to find some petroglyphs, some trilobites, and a hiking trail.
Well, we paddled by the wall that was supposed to have the glyphs. No luck. We went into the cove, tried searching for the hiking trail- where this photo was taken. Again, no dice. Third, in our effort to make real use of our day, we tried for the trilobite fossils. Once again, we had no encounter with such.
So instead we headed out on our kayaks and got escorted out by two porpoises (which we named "petroglyph" and "trilobite" respectively) and then had a run in with a humpback whale (which decided to spout a good 100 yards away from our kayak), who we named "hiking trail".
It was a great trip. It was by far, the most beautiful forest I have ever seen in my entire life. And that's not the bud talking.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
